Employment Requirements

To be employed by the Pittsburgh-Mt. Oliver Intermediate Unit #2, all employees must obtain the following requirements.

Application
All employees must complete an application for the Pittsburgh-Mt. Oliver Intermediate Unit #2.

Clearances
All employees must obtain a State Criminal History Report, a Federal Criminal History Report, and a Child Abuse Clearance.

State Criminal History Report
This report can be completed on the Pennsylvania State Police website, https://epatch.state.pa.us. The online record check cost $22.00 and will display a summary listing of the Record Check Results. Please submit a copy of this certificate to the PMOIU2 Office.

Federal Criminal History Report
Registration for this report is available online at https://www.identogo.com. You must pre-register.   The applicant will pay a fee of $27.00 at the time of registration. Once fingerprinted, the applicant must provide the registration number  and a copy of the clearance to the PMOIU2 Office.

Child Abuse Clearance
This clearance can be completed online or hard copy.  You can complete the form online at https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home.  For hard copy submission, complete the form obtained by clicking the link below and mail to:

The cost for this clearance is $13.00.  If applying for the clearance by hard copy please keep in mind; the only method of payment is a money order and the clearance will be returned to the applicant in about 4-6 weeks.  This clearance must be submitted to the PMOIU2 Office.

Act 24
Under Act 24 of 2011, we were required to have all current employees (including substitutes, contracted employees, and employees of independent contractors) complete and sign the PDE-6004 form, as well as all new employees hired since that date.

Applicants must complete and submit a PDE 6004 form with the application.

Mandated Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting
All employees must possess a Mandated Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Certificate.

Medical

Medical History Appraisal Form
All employees must obtain a pre-employment medical examination. Please take the PMOIU2 Health Appraisal Form to your physician and have him/her complete it. Please note: all heath history information is strictly confidential.

Proof of Mantoux Skin (TB) Test for Tuberculosis
All employees must obtain a pre-employment TB test. The Allegheny County Health Department offers free TB Tests. For more information, visit their website.

Additional Requirements

Identification
All employees must provide two forms of valid ID or a U.S. Passport before employment. (Credit cards and utility bills cannot be used as valid forms of ID.)

Academic and Certification Record
All employees need to submit copies of required certifications, transcripts, and/or diplomas. Necessary documents vary by position. If you are unsure which documents you are expected to provide please contact Human Resources.
